Lynda Ni Duil

Lynda Ni Duil will be exhibiting ‘untitled’, 2009, a black and white slide series. Lynda is interested in taking her images as far away form the written word as possible. Words demand coherence, clarity, and she sees her work as a space where the non-rational is tolerated, even encouraged. Images can remain ambiguous even though they are fixed expressions of reality.

In her work Lynda sets up ‘deceptively simple images of the body. By employing various poses and hidden narratives she intends to inspire disconcerting and strange associations with the image, capturing the imagination with out resolving into a clear identifiable idea.

Lynda Ni Duil studied Fine Art at Goldsmiths College, and an MA from the Royal College of Art.  She is an associate lecturer at The London College Of Communications, and is involved in their widening Participation Art projects.
